This was an experiment on turning a photograph of part of a outdoor gas fireplace into a seamless stone wall designed to look like it is part of a temple or stone ruins.
Test adding heat/lava into the height map through a height-blend method, and also added a Fresnel. created a particle system with GPU sprites and a distortion effect.
This is what the material graph looks like. It can be simplified by replacing the height, AO, and Specular maps into a single image (using one color for each grayscale image) but for clarity I left it as is.
